The Dalingshan Branch of Dongguan Library officially joined the Dongguan Library system in December 2007. The new building, completed and opened on October 28, 2019, boasts a floor area of 39,884 square meters and houses a collection of approximately 346,000 books, over 230 newspapers and periodicals, and 1,133 reading seats. It utilizes RFID and facial recognition technology for universal borrowing and returning. The branch features a 24-hour self-service library, a children's lending area, a picture book library, a toy reading room, a red bookstore, a local literature section, a red culture exhibition center, a new reading experience area, a micro-agricultural park, and the Lingshang Art Museum. The branch also offers digital reading devices such as waterfall screens, ink-screen e-readers, reading booths, audiobooks, all-in-one children's storytelling machines, and calligraphy machines, providing comprehensive public cultural services for citizens.

Dalingshan Branch is based on the purpose of benefiting the people with knowledge, adhering to the library management concept of "inheriting the red gene and nourishing the bookish Lingyi", and making every effort to create the cultural brands of "Bookish Lingyi" and "Yumei Lingyi". It continues to carry out reading brand activities such as "Ling Brand" and "Red Culture Season", and holds an average of 200 reading and cultural activities each year, with more than 200,000 participants. It actively promotes the construction of systems such as urban reading stations, picture book libraries, book service points, "I + Study Room", reading gas stations, and class micro-libraries, vigorously plays the exhibition service function of the library, and regularly carries out high-quality cultural and art exhibitions to create a warm and comfortable, rich collection, intelligent and efficient, and fully functional modern comprehensive library. In 2023, the Dalingshan Branch was rated as a "first-level library" in Guangdong Provincial Townships by the Provincial Department of Culture in the seventh national library evaluation and grading.
